This update brings one of the most highly-anticipated new features for Skype for Windows 10 and that is the new message reactions. Thanks to the updated Skype for Windows 10, you can now tap the reaction icon next to any message or video call to express how you’re feeling. The available message reactions are similar to the ones Facebook uses for post reactions. Users can react with a like, a heart, and other Skype emoji reactions that represent surprise, sadness, laughter, and concern. Another key new feature is direct sharing to Skype. Anyone using the updated version of Skype for Windows 10 can click on the Windows share charm on their Windows 10 PC and share something on Skype. You can easily share files, videos, photos, URLs, and more directly to Skype for Windows 10. After updating, you should be able to see Skype among the list of apps that support file and URL sharing.
Skype for Windows 10 gets a new menu
As expected, this update also changes the way the Skype for Windows 10 menu looks like. Microsoft has tested the improved Skype UI with Windows Insiders and is rolling it out to everyone. The Skype hamburger menu is no more since it has been replaced with a new, fresh and more minimal menu.
