The Surface Hub was launched later than expected. The giant touchscreen is created to give an enhanced workspace interface solution: “Built for teamwork, Microsoft Surface Hub works beautifully in the modern workplace. The fully integrated design, choice of two screen sizes (84” and 55”), and flexible mounting configurations means that there’s a solution for your business needs.” Microsoft even raised the price by $2,000 before launch, but still the device has been a big success. Speaking to Petri, Microsoft says that demand is beating supply and businesses are embracing the Surface Hub:

High Demand

“Demand for Surface Hubs is very strong and exceeded initial forecasts. To date, we’ve shipped to over 500 customers worldwide and that number continues to grow. We are ramping up production to meet this strong demand via our partner reseller channel as soon as possible. Customers are encouraged to speak with their sales representative if interested in ordering Surface Hubs.” The company hasn’t said exactly how many units it has sold, but we imagine it is a healthy amount. Available in two sizes (84-inch and 55-inch), the Surface Hub is a giant touch screen computer. It is designed to give businesses a teamwork solution with Microsoft-based services. The device comes with Full HD or Quad HD resolution, while Intel 4th generation i5 and i7 chipsets backed with 8GB of RAM is available.
